Scar Revision

Scar Reconstruction

Scar Revision is a surgical or minimally invasive procedure performed to minimise the appearance of a scar, improve its texture, and help it blend more naturally with the surrounding skin. While no scar can be removed entirely, revision techniques can reposition a scar to align with natural skin folds, flatten raised tissue (hypertrophic or keloid scars), or narrow wide, stretched marks caused by tension. The process often involves surgically excising the old scar and using specialised closure methods—such as a “Z-plasty” and “W-plasty”—to redirect skin tension and create a finer, less noticeable result.
