Post Mohs Reconstruction

Mr Nakul Patel

Post-Mohs Reconstruction is a specialised surgical procedure performed to repair the wound, or “defect,” left behind after Mohs micrographic surgery has successfully cleared skin cancer. Because Mohs surgery is designed to preserve as much healthy tissue as possible, it often results in irregular or deep wounds in delicate areas like the nose, eyelids, or ears. The reconstructive surgeon uses advanced techniques—ranging from simple stitching and skin grafts to complex local flaps that swivel nearby skin into the gap—to restore both the natural appearance and the essential functions of the face, such as breathing or blinking.
